When the tool is well seated in the outlet, push hard straight down on the handle until you feel the blade penetrate through the pipe. With continuing down pressure on the handle, turn the tool clockwise at least one full turn. Maintain the downward pressure on the handle and remove the tool from the fitting. Retract the blade by pulling the handle out to eject the core.
